Foster Care Colorado

Mission Statement
Life Line Foster Care Agency is a Christian non-profit corporation that solely exists to provide social services to meet the emotional mental, physical and spiritual needs of persons, in the loving and caring spirit of Christ.

Corporate Philosophy

We have a desire to serve everyone regardless of race, religion preference, or national origin. Life Line would like to place children in foster homes, group homes, and adoptive homes throughout the state of Colorado. We would like to have foster, group, and adoptive homes in urban suburban, and rural settings and span the ethnic, cultural and racial spectrum. Our goal is to place all ages of children, both boys and girls in a positive family environment and to surround them with a team of caring professionals.

Corporate  Values
We seek to instill in our children a positive attitude toward life. A sense of belonging and community in a home like setting conducive to learning social and personal responsibility. Also, we seek quality homes because the family setting is the most important factor for children, so they can feel that someone really cares for them. This makes a world of difference in the way children perceive themselves. We at Life Line believe that when love and compassion are joined with a quality environment, that it will make a difference in a child’s life. We want to replace negative feelings with positive attitudes; unacceptable behavior with positive action. Our behavioral expectations are high but are driven by a desire to meet the needs of the child, and empowered by quality relationships in the care setting. We continue to motivate children to take positive actions that result in their own esteem as well as their relationships with others.  Whenever possible we want our children to be able to return home or with a special person or family who can give them that “one on one” love that we all need. Family visits, if authorized, are maintained and encouraged. We welcome family involvement with the child for a speedy return home. Staff members are available to parents for consultation concerning their child’s growth and development.

Personnel

Life Line staff-will be carefully selected and very well trained. Our director of training insures that initial and on-going training standards are maintained at a high level. Staff selected for the agency will be responsible for the general and overall supervision and management of children that are in the custody of the agency. They will be responsible for managing individual cases at the highest confidentiality. The staff must be sensitive and mature and must be able to relate well both to the children, birth parents, foster parents, fellow staff members, and the management team. Children in our care can expect competent and caring foster parents, child care workers, skilled and highly involved foster home supervisors, quality case workers, and individualized help as needed with school or emancipation.
